Cookie Baking for the Hot Meal Program
December 16th, 3-7pm (SJU Fellowship Hall & Kitchen)
Come for as long as you like and help make cookies for diners of the Hot Meal Program. Supplies and ingredients are provided. You provide the baking power! COVID Protocols: Masking required. Proof of vaccination required for those that are eligible.
Family Treats & Scandinavian Sweets Teach & Taste Party
Sunday, December 19, Noon – 3pm (SJU Fellowship Hall & Kitchen)
Do you have a favorite cookie recipe you’d like to share? Bring ingredients and equipment to set up a station, where others can try their hand at your recipe. Do you like to eat cookies or want to learn some new baking skills? Tasters are needed! Stop in and join the fun. A pizza lunch will be provided for bakers immediately after worship. COVID Protocols: Proof of vaccination required for all adults. Children are welcome. Masking is required. Tasting can be enjoyed outdoors on the back patio.
Longest Night: A Service of Remembrance & Grief

On this Winter Solstice, we join many churches in the western hemisphere, in a service sometimes called Blue Christmas. We will make space for those experiencing grief and loss, reflect on Thomas’ resurrection doubts, share in communion, dwell in the holy darkness and pray for hope.

Introducing the 2021 Original Christmas Pageant:
“Le Grande Masque Noel”, by Nathan Jensen and in Partnership with Woodland Park Presbyterian Church
This year our pageant will be styled after a 19th Century masquerade Ball and include actors from St. John United and Woodland Park Presbyterian. The action will be filmed on location at SJU, turned into a video and screened on Christmas Eve. Watch the pageant by joining the service via zoom or watch the video later on our YouTube channel.
