Spaghetti Dinner & Dessert Auction

St. John United’s annual FUNdraiser is coming up on Friday, November 22. Come by at 6pm to enjoy a tasty spaghetti dinner in good company. After the meal the fun will ramp up with our dessert auction in which your table will get to select a sweet treat baked with love by community members.

This invitation is for ALL who care for this place and would like to see it carry on as a community resource. As you’ve hopefully heard, SJU has been in discernment regarding our future and we are exploring a path forward that involves more intentionally supporting the ecosystem of all that happens here. Click here to read a full update. Coming together at the Spaghetti Dinner is one way to further this vision of collaborative stewardship as we get to know one another better and invest in our shared future.

Funds raised at this event will be designated to maintenance of our much-used and well-loved building. The suggested donation for dinner is $20 for adults and $5 for children but no one will be turned away from this community meal. There will be an option for online payment at entry but, if possible, please bring cash or check as those are the easier (especially for the dessert auction and wine bar!) If you are not able to attend but would still like to contribute, you can donate online here!

Finally, we could use a few more volunteers to help things go smoothly. Please email office@stjohnunited.org if you are willing to help with food prep, serving, or clean up. We also need a couple more desserts if that’s more up your ally.

Most of all, thank you for the many ways you support one or more of the many expressions of community life here at St. John United. We truly believe your presence and participation makes a difference in this shared space.
